TOTAL PREVENTATIVE CARE

Total preventative care involves the early diagnosis of dental issues that will cause problems in the future.  Early diagnosis usually results in more conservative treatments.  This will save time and money in the future.

Total preventative care also involves us taking the time to carefully plan treatments, using the most up to date knowledge, materials and methods. This enables us to offer a range of treatment options.  These services include Cosmetic Dentistry, Teeth Whitening, Porcelain Veneers, Dental Implants and General Preventative Care. We are also able to provide Sleep Dentistry sedation for apprehensive patients.

Time is taken to carefully explain the approximate life expectancy of, and possible future issues arising from, each particular treatment option.  From this, you are more able to make an informed decision as to the treatment that is best suited for your particular circumstance.

Total preventative care also involves educating you about the simple and effective preventative treatments available.  From this, areas that have been identified as problematic can potentially be stabilised and monitored.  These preventative treatments are individually tailored for you, and can be re-assessed as your circumstances changes over time.  Again, the reduced incidence of problems in the future saves time, money and inconvenience for you.

This can be achieved by all our patients following our protocol:

  1. Six-monthly check-ups;

  2. Regular visits to the dental hygienist, including fluoride application, oral hygiene instruction and dietary advice to help you maintain a healthy mouth;

  3. Annual x-rays, taken to check in between teeth and around existing restorations, where it can be difficult to diagnose visually;

  4. X-rays, taken to check any pre-existing treatment to the nerves of your teeth, and possibly to gain a better understanding of the facial structures; and

  5. The thorough explanation of dental treatment and options, with an approximate longevity indication, so that you can make an informed decision that best suits your circumstance

We believe by following this protocol, we will be offering you the superior treatment that you deserve.
